Little things that we share....
It's the little things that we share, the love and joy that's in the air
The children's laughter everywhere
And all our favourite things.........Very often, we complaint about stuff that we don't have... However, if you take time to think about the little things that have bought you joy, even in the smallest way, you will realise that you have so much more reasons to feel contented and blissful....
For example, many people I know are always having monday blues, and hoping that they have more off-days compared to just 2 weekends... I have to admit I'm one of them..
However, when my mum told me, "You are much luckier than me! I have to stand all day and I have no off-days!!"......
It's true, my mum has no off-days, just that she can knock off earlier on Mondays.. My dad only has a break every fortnightly...
So I shouldn't complaint, should I.... :P
Let's count our little blessings ya =)

My Poor Knees!
Yesterday I had a bad fall at the bus stop pavement when I got off the bus.... The results - The left knee was skinned quite badly, and the right knee was scratched a little, and the attention of the on-lookers!!
So embarrassing! How can an adult fall down on fours? =( The wound looked like char siew to me.. haha....
I just saw the doctor this morning as I realised that the blue lotion I applied on my wound didn't really work and got worst...
I still remembered the last time I fell down on fours was when I was in Primary School! That evening after school, I knew that my mum was cooking one of my fav dishes - curry chicken. So anxious to go home, I ran along the school carpark road. With my heavy school bag and my clumsyness nature, I fell down on four on the rough road, and skinned my knees!!
Till today, I can still see the faint scar on my knee... Yet around 10 odd years later, the same fate happened again and on the same knee! Argh, this time, doctor said will leave scar!! My legs are already so short and ugly, why must it be so unfortunate to have another scar??
Haiz... Painful lesson! I need to walk more carefully!!

funny quotes!
Too lazy and no inspiration to blog.. haha.. but here's a few funny quotes to laugh yourself silly =)
Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.
The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think.
Insurance is like marriage. You pay, pay, pay, and you never get anything back

My wisdom tooth extraction
I shouldn't be blogging at this hour, especially on a Wednesday afternoon. But I'm on MC, that's why.. haha...
Today is the 2nd day of my wisdom tooth extraction.. feeling less painful but left cheek a bit swollen.
Yesterday I went to Sembawang dental to have my wisdom tooth taken out. Initially I thought of doing both sides. However, the dental advised that it's better to do one side at a time and boy, I was glad I did only one side...
The injection was a bit painful and after a while, I felt numbness at my left cheek.. The x-ray showed that my wisdom tooth was lying horizontally 90 degrees to the tooth in front, which means it will need some drilling and some tough plucking in order to remove...
The extraction began and I could hear drilling noises. I felt quite a bit of pressure as the dental struggled to take out my stubborn wisdom tooth. Piler (look-alike) was used and a nurse was required to hold my head... Getting a male dental was the right choice since a lot of strength was required!
After about half an hour, my wisdom tooth was finally removed, in bits and pieces.... Forgot to take a photo before they were dumped... but a bit gross also..The whole extraction was painless and I needed to bite a piece of cotton to stop the bleeding..
I thought it was quite ok but I was wrong.. After 2 hours or so, the pain started to kick in.. It was so PAINFUL!! My left side was throbbing with pain... I needed to take painkiller... Makes me wonder how come I felt more painful without my wisdom tooth......Luckily OP was around to take care of me for the whole day, making sure I eat my medicine and have my porridge =)
Well, now I'm resting at home and eating porridge.. hee... In june, it'll be OP's turn already! haha...

The Honesty Shop
Just read from newspaper that there is a shop in Taiwan that operates purely on trust and honesty.
There is no one in the shop, just sweets, tidbits and cookies etc. You just take what you need and pay by dropping the required amount into the designated money box. The lady boss said that there is also no camera in operation and so even if you steal, no one will know. However, the lady boss mentioned that she wants to cultivate people from young the importance of honesty.
I still remembered in my primary school or secondary school (couldn't remember :P), we also practised this Honesty Shop. I think the items are newspapers and also, you would drop the coins into the box and no one else is tending the newspaper booth.
Well, I couldn't remember how successful the shop is but at least it's a good try..... =) Mmm, do you think it will work in Singapore??
