Never put food in front of you!

There's a coffee table in front of my TV, and I have the habit of doing work on the coffee table...CNY goodies are displayed on the coffee table as well and so..........

Yup! I eat those goodies when I am doing work, I eat those goodies when I am watching TV. Argh, this kind of eating habit is strictly forbidden in the rules of "losing weight"..Oops, but the chocolates and cookies look so tempting in front of me...I can't help but reach out my hands to them...argh...

Dun tell me I look chubbier when you see me next time!

Somebody, stop me!

Crush

Have you heard of the show "花樣少年少女?" I think it's a nice show! Because Ella is so cute in the show, because the plot is interesting..It's about a girl who likes a boy and he is studying in a boys' school. In order to stay close to the guy she likes and to encourage him to continue high-jump, she disguises as a guy and becomes friends with him.

Crush is the word to describe the relationship between the girl and the boy. A crush involves admiring someone from a safe distance. You are thrilled when you are near them and miserable when you are away from them. You desperately want to tell the person how you feel - but are frightened of it at the same time.

I believe that most of you must have a crush (or crushes..haha) at some point in your life, may it be in your childhood times, schooling times or even in your adulthood times. It's a weird feeling, isn't it? When you see your crush, a part of you might feel embarrassed and you might want to run away and hide. Another part of you might be hoping that your crush will notice you and share the same feelings.

I think the song "怎么办" by S.H.E describes crush in a nice way...cute! haha...part of the song lyrics.... (^_^)

怎么办
感觉甜又酸
偷偷爱你
快乐又孤单

怎么办
爱却不能讲
你真讨厌
不来帮我的忙

Busy CNY

CNY holidays are ending soon cos I'll be going back to school tomorrow. So does everyone have a happy new year? hee....

On the first day of new year, I did something that I never did before. That was to visit OP's relatives...haha....felt nervous cos this was the first time I went to other people's house whom I dunno...keke...Luckily, OP's mum and relatives were very friendly..hee... Anyway, I saw a beautiful Husky in the house too! Her name was Angel and she was really obedient and tamed...However, I did not dare go near her even though she's really guai...cos she's kinda big and I couldn't overcome my fear..haha

Isn't she beautiful?

After that, we parted and I spent the rest of the day with my family. Went to marina on the first day and on the second day, we went to Chinese Garden. It was a beautiful sight there with the lanterns, decorations and the peaceful atmosphere there... However, it started raining half-way and we had to continue our journey with umbrella in our hands...Cannot take photos! haha...

Luckily, it stopped and we had much joy walking around and taking lots of photos...A great time to have family bonding....

Here are some photos taken at marina and chinese garden...

Happy Chinese New Year

Off goes Valentine Day and here comes Chinese New Year, one of my favourite festivals..keke...

Since young, Chinese New Year always gives me a feeling of warmth and joy. I think kids love CNY the best cos it's the period where they are allowed to eat all the goodies and drink all the soft drinks they want, without their parents nagging them..haha... It's also the "earn money" period..Ang Baos!!

Used to go to relatives' houses to "pa nian", however, recently, we do not do this anymore and go sightseeing instead..Thus, my Ang Baos collection drop drastically...haha...CNY is also a year to eat! My house is filled with new year goodies, so tempting...argh!!!!! Seems that CNY is a period where the "eat-too-much" guilt diminishes... haha...

Anyway, this year is "Golden Pig" year and heard that it comes only once in 60 years! It's a year that is supposed to be very good...so hereby wishing all of you a very blessed Chinese New Year and all become cute little lucky piglets..keke....

Happy Valentine Day!

Happy Valentine Day to everyone! Keke, so how's your valentine's day? Well, for me, I had a wonderful day with OP..keke

He first surprised me by his plot! Evil evil....still roped my friend in to help him...haha...but really surprised and happy to see his sincere surprise... Even though I told him not to buy flowers cos I personally think it's too expensive and they wither after a short period, he still went to buy...keke...

(To OP: next time really no need la, I won't feel uncomfortable or jealous one, really!)

Nevertheless, I was happy to receive it!

The teddy bear very cute, right? hee...

After class, we headed to Clark Quay to try the famous "Fisherman Wharf" which OP heard that was very good for its fish and chips...Indeed, it didn't disappoint us! A delicious fish and chips in dory cost only $6.50 and we could really taste the freshness of the fish...unlike other fish and chips which are dry and thin....

We ordered the cheapest set ($6.50) and the most expensive set ($16.50)..In the end, although both tasted nice, we preferred the cheaper one..haha...yeah, we got a cheaper version of "Fish and Co"....

We prefer the dory fish and chip! cheap and good!

We ate at around 5.30 and at that time, the whole restaurant (non air-con one) was empty except for the staff, so we got the feeling that we booked the whole restaurant! Haha....felt exclusive!

We ended the day with a visit to the doctor! Ya, OP was down with rather serious cough so I forced him to go see the doctor near my house...Cos I personally think that the medicine there is effective..However, I think OP was shocked when he received the bill...$50.40!!!!!! So expensive, especially he went there at night...

Haha, there's a price to pay for health...Hope this expensive medicine will cure him fast fast! Happy valentine day once again! :)

Simple hugs

There's something in a simple hug
That always warms the heart;
It welcomes us back home
And makes it easier to part.

A hug's a way to share the joy
And sad times we go through.
Or just a way for friends to say
They like you cause you're you.

Hugs are meant for anyone.
For whom we really care,
From your grandma to your neighbor,
Or a cuddly teddy bear.

A hug is an amazing thing
It's just the perfect way
To show the love we're feeling
But can't find the words to say.

It's funny how a little hug
Makes everyone feel good;
In every place and language,
It's always understood.

And hugs don't need new equipment,
Special batteries or parts
Just open up your arms
And open up your hearts.

Love is in the air

14th Feb is coming soon and as you all know, it's Valentine's day...a day of love and giving..However, some of you may think it's a day for some businessmen to make money too..haha...all the gifts and restaurants so expensive, right?

Well, still, it's a day of love and everyone seems to be happy on that day cos it's a day for lovers as well as friends..Still remember during JC2, my Physics teacher actually gave each girl a heart-shaped balloon while a thoughful guy in my class gave each girl a rose! so sweet, right? Gifts do not matter, but the thoughts definitely count! hee....

I have come across a website that shows some interesting trivia about romance....enjoy :)

First Love
Two out of five marry their first love.

Go Ahead and Kiss
A team of medical experts in Virginia contends that you're more likely to catch the common cold virus by shaking hands than by kissing.

Morning Kissing
Studies indicate that a man who kisses his wife good-bye when he leaves for work every morning averages a higher income than those who don't. Husbands who exercise the rituals of affection tend to be more painstaking, more stable, more methodical, thus, higher earners. Studies also show that men who kiss their wives before leaving in the morning live 5 years longer than those who don't.

On Bended Knee
One in 5 men proposes on one knee.

Healthy Kissing
Kissing helps reduce tooth decay because the extra saliva helps clean out your mouth.

Kissing & Calories
You burn 26 calories in a one minute kiss.

Kissing Colors
Some theorize that when you kiss a person with the same hair color as yourself, the result is a more passionate kiss.

Hope he will win!

Hong Kong Film Awards is taking place this April 15, it's a yearly event and I'm not one who care much about the event. However, this year, there's a special case....

Do you still remember Matthew, the cute baby from the movie, Rob-b-hood? The cutest baby I've ever seen is one of the nominees!!!! He has become the youngest nominee for Best New Performer...

Do you think I can win? keke.....

I find this amusing cos I think the baby didn't even know he's acting....Haha, and what will the rest of the nominees feel if indeed the cutie wins the award? Ke, they lose to a baby?!?!

But anyway, I do hope Matthew will win! Haha, he can highlight this award in his future resume as the youngest Best New Performer at the age of 1 :)

They actually said that ?!?!

Been to career fair today....a lot of potential companies there and I got a lot of pamphlets and bags...haha...Some positions sound interesting but I didn't ask much so I dunno the real picture of how's the working environment like.... Got a lot of sending-resumes-work to do soon.. mmm....wonder what my future career is like....blur future ahead ........

Well, worries aside, I came across these funny quotes that are really said by airline attendants as an effort to make "in-flight safety lecture" and other announcements more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:

~There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane..."~

~After landing: "Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."~

~After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in Memphis, a flight attendant on a Northwest flight announced: "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted."~

~From a Southwest Airlines employee.... "Welcome aboard Southwest Flight XXX to YYY. To operate your seatbelt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seatbelt, and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised.~

~In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face.If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with two or more small children, decide now which one you love more.~

~Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, we'll but try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Southwest Airlines."~

~"Your seat cushions can be used for flotation, and in the event of an emergency water landing, please take them with our compliments."~

~"Should the cabin lose pressure, oxygen masks will drop from the overhead area. Please place the bag over your own mouth and nose before assisting children or adults acting like children."~

~"As you exit the plane, make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses."~

~"Last one off the plane must clean it."~

~And from the pilot during his welcome message: "We are pleased to have some of the best flight attendants in the industry... Unfortunately, none of them are on this flight...!"~

Really creative and humorous, isn't it? hee....
