Four Leaves Clover
"If a man walking in the fields find any four-leaved grass, he shall in a small while after find some good thing. "

U know what the four-leaved grass he is talking abt? Yup, it's the four leaves clover...One leaf is for FAITH... The second for HOPE... The third for LOVE... And the fourth for LUCK! Yup, i need LUCK cos recently been very unlucky, got a lot of small "accidents" and me is down with sore throat and a bit flu plus some bruises and cuts.. :(

Dragon Boat Festival
Dragon Boat Festival is coming soon...is on fifth day of the fifth lunar month... it's a day to eat rice dumplings! haha...me is greedy pig (need more more oto-ing :P) This year got free dumplings, hee, some from my aunt, some from rhys' mum...yeah, yummy and not oily as compared to those sold outside...

Rice dumplings are nice but must eat them with chinese tea so that it will get rid of the greasy feeling...heard there are a lot of new filings for rice dumplings, one interesting one is durian filling(mmm....sounds weird..haha) My fav is the the traditional one, both dark and light coloured ones also like..ha...but dun really like those small small rice dumplings which have no fillings one and ppl usually eat them with sugar one (wonder anyone knows what i'm talking abt)..ke

Bruise Week
This week really really unlucky for me....

First, I knocked against my sofa when I turned around to go to my bedroom..it hurted but I ignored the pain and went to sleep...the next day, there was a huge bruise on my thight...blue-black with dots of clotted blood...so ugly and painful...

Second, I knocked my head against the wardrobe door when I climbed up to switch off my alarm clock...a tiny bump formed and it hurted when I pressed it....

Third, I fell down the stairs this morning, just two steps before reaching ground and I fell down..landed on my lower leg and again, a cut and a bruise formed...hurted!!

Forth, when I reached the company and going to toilet, a group of guys stood at the railings there so I walked the other side of the stairs..and yup, I fell down the stairs AGAIN!! and super ma lu cos it was seen by the group of guys... -_-'' my left foot hurted and when i bent my toes, i could feel the pain...

That's my bruise week and i hope that's the end !!

Big Walk
Today woke up at 5 am cos me is being dragged to Big Walk with someone..haha...it's my very first big walk so feel kind of curious...wonder how's it like to walk 1o km, especially for me who dun exercise..haha

So today was all dressed up in sports t-shirt, shorts and sandals..cos no sports shoes..haha...arrived at Dhoby Ghaut to wait for shuttle bus and there was such a loooooooooonggggg queue...wow..impressed by so many people willing to wake up so early for Big Walk...waited for quite some time before we managed to get on bus..

Started our Big Walk at 8 but then already saw some competitive walkers making their way back..so fast!! impressed...cos me has only started my long long walk... was sweaty and hot during the long journey, saw some dogs on the way and they were all panting and hot..poor doggies..

Was really glad when I finally saw the finishing line and I must say I was entertained during the journey by some interesting sights such as dragon dance, man dressed in ping-pong, people carrying banners...exchanged goodies bag also and waited for the announcement of the lucky draw...and of course, i didn't win..haha...

Was a interesting experience, so friends, do u all wanna join next year? hee

Not-In-Office Task
Today was the first time that I went outside of my office to work..went to Holiday Inn Parkview for my company's event..it was a seminar and so me and other 2 interns went to help with registration and other admin stuff...did a lot of calling before this event lor..haha....

Seminar starts at 8.30 but need to arrive there at 7.30 to sort out stuff so i woke up at 5.30...so so so sleepy.....mmm..but it was fun cos never been to Holiday Inn and was really glad to get out of office to do something else...keke.... some hiccups occured but overall, the seminar went smoothly..phew..

My supervisor and other colleagues were nice to treat us lunch..had a really full lunch and we also managed to have half an hour free time to shop shop..keke.. but more tasks are awaiting us..mmm...got to go now, need to read the files regarding my upcoming tasks...

Smoking in Process
Dun be shocked, it's not me that is smoking..ha.. it's the people in my office...My office has a corridor where u need to open a door to go downstairs to toilet..As i am someone who goes to toilet often, I always need to go down the stairs...

Many times, there will be people smoking there, to take a breather from the heavy workload..Surprisely , I see quite a few women smoking (even more than men)..They all look depressed and smoking quietly..Everytime I walk past, I will need to hold my breathe but it's not the smoking that makes me blog this, it's the habit that makes me wonder....

The smokers really look sian and sad, smoking their time (and health) away, hoping to puff their stress off and then unwillingly go back to work..mmm...I see the dark side of the adult world, or more specifically the working world... Haiz, all for the sake of earning a livelihood.. It makes me have the mental preparation for a harsh and stressful time out there in the working world after I graduate in a year or so time.. (argh... i love being a student!!!)

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Birthday
In a few hours time, there are two important occasions to celebrate..haha...yup, it's Mother's Day cum my 21st birthday..ke..think is once every seven years that Mother's day and my birthday fall on same day...can save money by celebrating two occasions using a single cake..haha...

Bought a L'oreal Revitalift for my mum cos she says she wants to get rid of the wrinkles..( to *someone*, if the cream works, will recommend to u...haha) and a birthday-cum-mother's day cake, mango flavour one..keke..

I had a great birthday party on the 3rd of May and a dinner with my JC gang yesterday so I had a really happy 21st birthday..thanks a lot to u ppl... hee...

So tired
My eyes are looking old and my face looks sagged...why? cos i've been staring at the excel worksheet with tons of numbers for many many hours....think my eyes will become more short-sighted..haiz...

Last time, even though i wake up at 6 for school, i can still stay up late till 1am + before sleeping but now at 11pm, i can't stay up any longer and just want to doze off...mmm..so sad, feel like no life..ha..cos i'm a nightowl... My workplace feels a bit "cold" in the sense that everyone so quiet and just do their own stuff, hardly any chatting or feel like a family..so i just sit at my station typing and calling...

Heard from the rest that they have started some serious stuff like evaluating advertisements, coming up with ideas...mmm..hope i'll be doing more interesting stuff soon cos currently i feel so sian....i realise that office work is not for me..haha..Also can get tummy easily cos we'll be sitting down again and typing after coming back from lunch... my otot trimax comes in useful now..ha...

My PA
Today is the start of my PA...did telemarketing cos supervisor not available...think will start more serious stuff this thursday...Mmm, dunno why but even though i just sat down in front of computer and just called ppl throughout my 8 hours, i felt more tired than going to school. Weird, right? This happens everytime I go to work...haiz, work is more tiring than school! I miss school...haha...

Tml, need report earlier cos supervisor only available from 8.30 - 9. Better go zzzz now. And my toes hurt a lot cos shoes a bit loose, i stuff too much tissues...my toes cramped and now hurting..ha..not wearing them tml le...

Devil and Angel
Every time in shows or cartoons, when one faces a dilemma, an angel and a devil will pop up to speak and urge the person to act according to what the devil/angel wants. Of course, following the angel’s advice is the best choice but sometimes the devil will manage to knock out the angel and the devil wins.

Mmm, so we all have a devil and an angel within us. No one is perfect and although we all know that sometimes it's wrong to be a devil, we still carry out its instructions. Keke, maybe the angel’s power a little weak ya.

I’m sure many of us sometimes have evil thoughts going on in our minds…(not those really evil and wicked things, just those naughty or minor evil things :P) Yup, me too and sometimes my mum will jokingly say, “I really don’t know why anyone will like u” From this statement, u can see how bad I am in the eyes of my mother. Haha, ya, me not those very guai daughter who does all the housework or tidy up my room..keke so my mum has already form a bad impression of me le..

Lucky, although my devil sometimes wish to pop up, I will try my best to curb it as I know the consequences will be very bad. For example, once, a very unpopular teacher in my sec school came to my classroom, shouted at us and scolded some very nasty words. Inside me, I really wanted to stand up, bang the table and shout back at her, “It’s enough! Stop scolding us!!” Haha, of course I don’t dare to and sat quietly to listen to her scoldings. I was surprised to discover that my best friend even had the same thoughts as me..haha….we are the “want to fight back but dun dare to” types. When someone bullied me or made me angry, I also wished to give the person some punches or kicks (yup, I’m pretty violent..haha) but the angel managed to put out the burning fire inside me.

So who rules you most of the time, the devil or angel? If given a choice, wouldn’t u wish to let your devil out to do some naughty things? Haha….just joking :P World peace!!

My special day
Today was a really special special day for me!!! A surprise party organised by rhys!! He told me we were going to sing ktv but in the end i was blindfolded into a room and surprise! many of my friends were there....Rhys had it all planned since abt 2 months ago, so touched!! xie xie...really dunno how to express my gratitude to u...thanks :)

Was really happy that many of my friends came and really kept the secret...i dunno anything at all and didn't notice anything lor... ha...played a lot of games and it was fun..haha..especially the "snatch bones" one...got a lot of screaming though..keke...

Hope everyone enjoy yourselves and thanks for the presents....will rememeber this special 21st birthday party for life!! thanks so much for creating this special moment and million thanks to rhys..keke...

My labour day
Today my dad brought me to familiarize myself with the route to my PA company, Ingram Micro. I am a direction idiot since young and therefore if I need to go to somewhere unfamiliar, I always make it a point to go there first before the actual day so I won’t get lost and end up late. So my dad took the effort to go down to kallang bahru with me, teaching me where to take bus etc.

When I finally reached there, I saw my company’s name on a building. So that’s where I will be working for the next two months plus. Staring at the unfamiliar building and the ulu surroundings (the area there are all office buildings and factories, no shopping centers, no gaga places), suddenly I felt tense and nervous. Guess that’s how everyone will feel next Monday ba.

Ingram Micro is near to the place that I worked last time during my long JC holidays, Noel Gifts International. Never did I imagine that I’ll be going back to the same area to work, this time round for my PA, keke.

Went to Suntec City alone today to shop for my office wear. I don’t want to keep wearing my 2 G2000 long sleeve shirts to work so I tried looking for some blouses that are suitable for work. It was not an easy task. If I saw some suitable ones, they’ll either be too expensive or too big for me. Headache! So in the end only manage to buy 2 blouses which I hope are ok for office wear. Bought one pant and a skirt too cos scared that the company is like what the teacher says, a “no-pants” company. Spent quite a lot of $$ today, pain pain. Hope to find some more suitable reasonably-priced clothes (office and causal) and update my wardrobe. Keke….
