Rain

Rain rain go away, come again another day.
Rain, rain go away, little children want to play.

Heard of this song? It's a song I learnt when I was in primary school. When I was young, I would sing this song during a rainy day when I wanted to go out. Keke, amazingly sometimes it worked, at least during that time, I believed it's the song that made the rain stop. Haha.....

Rainy season has arrived in Singapore again. Been raining almost everyday, a while it is sunny, then later the sky will turn dark and raindrops will start falling. In other countries, it's winter time with white snow. In Singapore, snow is being replaced by rain. Mmm, however, rainy season during holidays can be a bother sometimes....

But one good thing is the weather is cooler and also, we will have more water supply!!! hee....water is precious!

So you think you can dance?

Nope nope, it's not me who can dance, it's Mumble! You know who's Mumble? He's the cute little penguin in Happy Feet....Unlike the other penguins, he can't sing, which makes him weird and isolated from the rest cos singing is a natural ability to penguins...However, he's a brilliant tap-dancer but a pity that no one recognizes his unique talent...

This movie is full of nice songs and also nice dance steps...A kid in the movie theater even jumped up and down happily with the beats and music! I noticed that in movie associated with animals, human beings are usually depicted as the bad guys, destroying their environment etc...Humans are considered wicked by the animals!!

It's ok to be different! This is what I learnt from the movie. Your "talent" may not be considered a talent in other people's eyes and is not those mainstream talent. However, who knows, this unique talent of yours may be the success of your life!

Mmm, I've been thinking about my own talent...But, I can't seem to think of any!! Haiz.... Haha, "talent-less" is my talent :P

Run!!

3rd of December is the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2006. It will be a big day for passion runners and of course to OP. He had joined the full 42km Marathon last year and the medal is with me..keke...However, it was rather tough for him as he suffered from dehydration after the long tiring run... (That's why I'm worried for him this year, wonder if I should support him not..haiz)

Today went to Suntec City to collect his Race Entry Pack. There were many people, young and old. Was really surprised that men in their 50s and 60s joined the full Marathon! I truly respect those who particpate in Marathon, may it be 10km, 21km or the super long 42km. I have difficulties in running 2.4km in school, bet I'll faint quarter-way!!

I always thought why would people pay money to get themselves all soaking in sweat and panting in difficulties? Well, today I understood why. In the exhibition hall, there's a board where people pinned up a card where they wrote the reason for joining the Marathon. Some reasons are motivating but some are rather funny..haha

Reasons for joining:
- Nothing better to do
- For the free Addias Tee
- Because I don't want to get FAT
- To challenge myself
- To get out of my comfort zone

To OP: If you really want to join the Marathon, please take good care of yourself, k. Dun push yourself too hard, it's ok if you take hours to complete. Just make sure you won't feel uncomfortable or sick during the journey. I will wait for you at the finishing line :) Jia you!!

Chubbiness

From every photos I have taken and a look in the mirror, my round face is always my little problem. Since young, I have been given a chubby face and till now, it's still as chubby as ever, haha. Chubbiness seems to bother girls a lot, if not, Jolin will not have to go on such a strict diet to lose weight and her baby fat.... Well, despite the bad points that chubbiness bring, let me highlight some of its good points ba..keke

  1. Chubby face makes you look younger. Mmm, that's what I think from what my friends told me. Haha, I have been checked I.C. when I watched M18 movies! Chubbiness make u look "kid-ish".

  2. You will get compliments of being cute. Yup, from my primary school autograph to the testimonals in friendster, normally, my friends will say that I look cute...I know it's not those cute that is currently portrayed by the cute female celebrities. It's those "childish" cute...But at least it's still a compliment..haha

  3. Chubby-looking makes you look more friendly, kinder and more approachable. OP keeps saying that I look "慈祥"....and some friends say "没有杀伤力"。Haha, so funny....Mmm, that means it's easier for me to bluff people since they are likely to believe me..haha... (*evil grin*)

  4. You can use your chubbiness to tease people. This is beacuse some people have the urge to pinch chubby cheeks and yet, they can't do it to you if you don't allow. Haha, 可看不可捏!!

So, here's the good points of having chubby face. That's how i console myself! Haha.....since I cannot get rid of it, I must learn to accept and love it! Yeah..haha...

Miss Right

Finding Mr. or Miss Right is a process that we all have to go through, and right now, one of my guy friends is trying to find his Miss Right. During lunch one day, we discussed about it and we decided to help him..haha…

I said, "Join SDU after you graduate, maybe they can help you, keke."
He said, "I will. Hehe."

However, yesterday, a headline on the front page of Straits Times stated "SDU's role as Cupid comes to an end."

Oops, so as his friend, I decided to help him look for one if possible.

Here are his conditions for his future Miss Right:

She must be cute.
She must be pretty.
She must be someone who likes to laugh and joke.
She cannot be taller than 175cm.
She must be Chinese.

Mmm, the first two conditions apply to all guys right? I asked him for a reference person and he stated the following celebrity.

Rainie Yang

She is the dream girl of most men and if such girl exists, she must be attached already right? Haha, hopefully fate will bring such a wonderful girl to him soon. Anyway, if you think you fit the bill, can tag me!! Hehehe…..

Special day

Today is the end of my first paper and 10 days later will be my second paper. 17/11 is a special day, not because of my examination, but because it's my one year anniversary with OP!! It was a surprise to me when we both appeared in the same T-shirt…haha, we didn't plan before hand and my friends commented on our lovers' tees…haha…..

365 days ago, OP and I finally declared us as couples and till now, we have experienced a lot of things together and have lots of wonderful memories. Although at times, there may be some minor "cold" wars or some unhappiness with each other, we still managed to get over it soon. Think couples have to face situations like these sometimes.

This is my first relationship and of course, I have many things to learn, learning to be caring and understanding, learning to be thoughtful and not being so unreasonable. Also, I learnt one "unpleasant" thing from being in a relationship. Your feelings are greatly influenced by the other partner and thus, I get worried and sad sometimes when OP is ill or feeling down. Now I know why the lead actor/actress in drama always says, If he/she is happy, I’m happy."

"Love is a sweet torture." How true! keke, but having someone who cares for you wholeheartedly is indeed a wonderful feeling.

Happy 1st year anniversary!! :)

What a peaceful morning!

Those who know me well knows that I'm a lazy pig who can't wake up early, unless I'm going to school. Haha, who dun like to lay on comfy bed, allowing yourself to wake up as late as u want to?

Well, today at 7am, I had an urge to go bathroom cos last night drank too much water le. When i'm done, I didn't go back to bed immediately cos I'm attracted by the beauty of early morning.

Although it's 7am, the morning was cool and bright, with rays of sunlights shining in. No sound was heard except the chirping of birds. Really, no one was on the streets and very very few cars on the road. It's a rare quiet sight but it's acceptable on Sunday. Keke, Sunday is REST day so at 7am, most people would still be in dreamland.

I stood by the window and enjoyed the peaceful, bright Sunday morning for a while. It had a calming effect and made me relaxed. Mmm, I had missed many beautiful mornings in the past!! At that moment, I thought wouldn't it be nice if I could take a walk at the quiet neighbourhood, having breakfast with my loved ones....(if i managed to stay awake..haha)

After a while, I walked back to my bedroom and snuggled happily under my covers.

The world is so peaceful when everyone's asleep.....zzz........

Sadness

Today, I managed to catch the show "Child of Our Times" at 10.20pm, missed a bit though. This episode is featuring a cute girl named "Rhianna". It's about how father and mother roles affect a child's development.

Rhianna

It is an interesting show and one experiment done with the girl surprised me, and even the researchers. The kids were given a picture of a happy face and a sad face. Then, they were asked to listen to a radio where a woman read out her speech. The kids were asked to identify whether the woman sounded happy or sad.

Most kids had difficulties identifying. When it's Rhianna's turn, she said that the happy face was her mum's face and the sad face was his dad's. Later, when she heard the radio with the woman speaking in a sad tone, Rhianna pointed to the happy face.

She was asked to give a reason and the reason she gave was, "People usually show their happiness, they don't show unhappiness. Sadness are hidden." Therefore, she felt that in public, a person will not show his sadness, that's why she chose the happy face.

Mmm, dun you find it amazing that the words came from a child under 5 years old? A young kid knows that humans tend to hide their feelings, keeping their sadness inside their hearts, not telling to anyone. It'a a bit mature for kids to think that way and rather unhealthy cos they will bottle up their feelings and in the end, they will grow up being emotionally unhealthy ba...

However, sadly, we adults do the same thing too, aren't we?

Happy!

Heard of Hougang Point? Know many people didn't hear of it cos it's a neighbourhood shopping mall with only a few units. Now Hougang Point has a new look! It has undergone renovation and there are now many shops, for example, "Sakae Sushi" (I'm surprised that Hougang Point has such a mid-high class sushi restuarant, haha), manicure & pedicure shop, QB house etc....BUT there's no shop selling clothes! Imperfect! haha

However, today OP and I made a new discovery!

OP (holding me by the shoulders): I want to tell you a good news. Stay Calm
Me (Looking puzzled): .......
OP (Pointing to a shop under renovation): Look!

A sign that said "Coming Soon: This Fashion" was pasted on the door!

Yeah, I was really very happy. Haha, know that many people dun really like clothes from This Fashion, but somehow, I develop a liking to this brand cos clothes are affordable and quite nice.

I can shop my clothes without travelling to far far places le!!!!!!

Mugging

Mmm, it's not me who is mugging. Haha, realised that as people get older, the situation where they are busy mugging will not happen unless exams are real close..ke.. My friends say they are not in the "study" mode yet!! Well, me too :(

My sister is the one mugging cos her O' levels start tomorrow! Still remembered the days where I stayed up late to study my O's especially my history paper. Too many things to memorise le and subjects were tested one after the other, hardly any break in between exam papers...Stress!

All the best to those students in exam period!!!! =)

Telepathy

Have you ever know what the other person gonna say before he/she actually says it?

Have you ever sms the other person and receive a sms from him/her right at the same time?

Have you ever thinking of calling a person and the very next moment, this person calls you?

Have you and someone know what each other is thinking before words are spoken?

I have experienced all those things before. With my best friends and now OP! Keke, dun you find that super amazing? I do! It's amazing to know what the other person gonna say or do without any words spoken. Mmm, it takes quite some time to reach the "telepathy" level, usually after you have known the person super well....

Do you know the special "rule" when you and the other person say the same word at the same time? Keke, when you 2 say the same thing at the same time, you need to tap the other person's head and make a wish! Haha, it's rare to have 2 people speaking the same word at the same time without any "warning" and hints...However, OP and I have been tapping each other's heads for over 100 times already this semester...Wow, amazing but this rule has become a "tapping-head" war for us as we fight to tap the other person's head first. Haha, childish but fun though...hee...

Mind-reading is amazing!

Pain

Argh, I experience pain in my mouth today. The pain comes from the back of my mouth, the very last tooth! Don't tell me I have wisdom tooth problem! Recently, so unlucky, increased short-sightedness, poor digestive system and now, painful tooth..

Still remembered OP told me about his horrified wisdom tooth extraction experience, he said it was very painful. What's worst was that his cheeks were swollen like a big bun in his mouth, and he had fever somemore. At that point in time, I even told him confidently that I would not have this problem.

But my confidence has greatly diminished this morning. Wonder if it is wisdom tooth problem and my fears seem real. I dun wan!!! I still have oral presentation coming, can't afford to become pig head.... :(
