Childhood Memories
Did you people know about the show "Child of our times" ? It's a documentary series, exploring issues on whether children's characters are born natural or nurtured...saw it on TV just now and I find myself hooked for an hour...Today's topic is called "Thanks for the Memories". It explores the deep personal power of memory - discovered when our first memories are formed - and looks at what effect they have on our lives. What happens when a child witnesses the violent breakdown of their parent's relationship? How do they cope with a distracted and angry mother, newly separated from her father?The show did an experiment...When a toddler was left in the room and his mum left him, he started crying and later smiled when his mum went back into his room. This is considered normal. However, when the same experiment was done on a kid called Charlotte, the result was different. She did not cry when her mum left the room and instead, she crawled in the opposite direction. When her mum came back, she ignored her mum and continued to play on her way. The reason was that Charlotte wasn't sure whether her mum loved her......Charlotte's parents had been fighting and quarreling when Charlotte was born and they had not been giving attention to little Charlotte. Their behaviour had a great impact on her, even though Charlotte was just a baby. She could not feel her mum's love and thus chose not to love her mum too...By the time she was one, little Charlotte had learned to hide her fears and sadness and she still doesn't show emotion at the age of two - she hardly ever smiles... Please dun make me sad....
Also, tests were conducted to find out whether people subconsciously remember things they were only exposed to in the womb - or during their first year of life? The answer is yes. These forgotten childhood experiences can have a tangible, physical effect on us decades later. Incredible as it seems, our brain does hold memories of events from around the time of our birth, even though we have no conscious recollection of them.I find this show interesting cos the lessons learnt sure will be helpful. We can't assume that babies dunno anything and in fact they will remember it and grow up with those memories affecting them..... Creating happy childhood memories are very important!! I simply love the show....

Good show coming!
Yeah, a very nice show is coming to channel U!! You all may think I'm biased cos the show is Mr. Fighting, 格斗天王, starring Tony Sun and Zax Wong! It's definitely an exciting show cos I have watched it before, nicer than westside story!! thanks to yapp who lent the cds...hee...
Recently, heard the music and saw some previews on TV, and I can't wait to see it being shown on TV...been almost a year since I seen it le... It's a story about love and honour... besides love, it's about friendship and kinship too.... When the 主题曲 is playing, it gives me the urge to start fighting and be a heroine..haha.... make you feel unbeatable....
Expect exciting fighting scenes, experience the romance, get hooked on by the twists and turns in the story.....

Happy or Not?
Recently, read from newspaper that there is a survey carried out to find out the happiness level of different countries....You know how Singapore ranks? Want to know whether Singaporeans are happy? well....Singapore ranks the second lowest in Asia countries, so it means that Singaporeans are very unhappy...the last one is Korea, maybe cos they watch too much of their sad and tragic dramas..keke....Mmm, the more happier countries are surprisingly the developing countries, countries that have less wealth than us but more happiness than us...the more developed, the less happiness?? One reason to explain this can be that, for countries like Singapore, people have higher standard of living and thus their expectation of happiness also increases....we are no longer contended with some things that can easily make the people from the developing countries smile...Actually, happy or not depends a lot on our mindset, dun u think so? Maybe too much expectations, too much stress = fewer smiles, fewer laughs..... So are you happy?

My Bintan Trip
Hoho, today is an entry with many photos, keke....didn't bring camera there so the photos taken were from my camera phone..hee...
All the interns were going but one of them took the earliest ferry and we three took the 11am ferry... me wore specs for the whole event, too lazy to wear contact lens...looked tutu..

Reached Bintan after an hour of ferry ride...luckily I got eat motion sickness pills, if not sure giddy giddy....ke...

Didn't get a room at first cos needed to ensure that the rest of the employees got their rooms first... that night, we had dinner at Kelong.....ate lots of yummy seafood! keke

After dinner and meetings, the other interns dragged me to the pub where we would get free drinks and sing and dance to heart's content..first time at pub..mmm...people smoking and drinking..disco lights flashing and music blasting.. drank one sip of alcohol..it was very strong and made me hot immediately..didn't like it at all while the rest seemed to enjoy it..they got really high and started dancing till 1.30 am (singapore's time) and me was sitting at one corner, looking so out of place..haha.. i'm a tutu intern...
Finally, got back to our room...looking tired...we three girls sharing a king sized bed..here's me and choon mei..

Next morning was team-building games but before it started, managed to take some photos of the surroundings...

It was a fun and enjoyable trip..keke although I was mostly working instead of relaxing but at least, I did not need to pay anything! keke.... so that's my one and a half day trip to Bintan... :)

Back!
Back to Singapore le!! Ke, my friday and saturday afternoon are spent in Nirwana Gardens at Bintan. Going there to help out with my company's offsite event..was a fun and tiring experience..keke...will be posting pictures very soon so watch out for it!
Saw this scene on bus recently, two small boys were singing some 童谣, those songs that we used to sing when we were small. They were singing quite loudly but strangely, I smiled and some people smiled too...yup, we all looked at the two boys who were happily singing and enjoying themselves.

A New Look
Hi Hi!! Changed a new look of my blogskin, keke..nice nice?? Have thought of changing my blogskin cos the links sometimes cannot work. I chanced upon this cute skin and I found it very sweet...A child looking innocently at the butterflies, when I look at it, I feel calm and at peace so I decide to use it...hee
A new song also!! The song sounds super familiar but I can't remember the name le...anyone knows, please tag me ya..hee...
I'm going off to Bintan on friday morning cos company is having an offsite event there...going there to help..hope it'll be fun and everything will be okay!! I dun wanna get lost or anything (choy choy)...

Spiderman vs Superman
Spiderman and Superman are heros of all time and their adventure stories have beeen filmed into movies and I am happy to have watched both. Superheros do not exist in this world and thus, we (especially girls, haha) are fascinated by how powerful they are and the charm they have when they are saving ppl from the evil forces. Spiderman VS Superman, who do you like best? Tough question ya..haha
Superman
I can hear people crying for help
As seen in the movie, he is soooo handsome and charming, haha.. and has unbelievable strength. He doesn't seem to fear anything except a green colour thing. (anyone knows th eexact name??) As mentioned by the lead actress in the movie "everyone loves Superman". From here, you can see the status of superman in everyone's heart.
Spiderman
With great power comes great responsibilites
He isn't born with supernatural powers unlike Superman. He used to be a normal guy with specs- shy and nerdy. After biten by a spider, he turns into Spiderman and goes around saving ppl. He can only swing his way through with the help of his spiderweb and he has to wear his costume which seems rather uncomfortable. I often wonder how he can breath with that costume..haha..
However, I like Spiderman better. He is more humanised cos he isn't born as a superhero and we can see his transformation from a normal guy to a superhero. He does get hurt from fights(Superman is too powerful to be "real" as compared to Spiderman). Like us who wish to take a break when stress comes, he gets sick from his great responsibilities and wants to escape from it.
Also, I think he is luckier. In the end, he can still be with the woman he loves and supports him. Superman, on the other hand has lost the woman he loves as she has married another man who can give her more stable life and won't disappear as Superman does.
So which superhero do you like best??

Peep into my office like Part 3
Although my life as an intern isn't very exciting, I have fun and laughter due to my three interesting interns colleagues! Ha, thanks to them, I am not that lonely in company :P
First to intro is Miss Smiley aka Miss Scared-of-Black
She's my classmate for last last semester and we were from the same JC but didn't get to know her well then. However, this PA period has got us closer and I got to know her funny and interesting side, keke. She's a Taurus too (no wonder so nice, haha) and she's petite and cute.
Well, she smiles a lot (therefore the nickname) and I always find it easy to chat with her about anything and she is a good listener, I must say. Ha, throughout the 8+ weeks, we find out that she dun dare to eat food that is black in colour (like mushroom, soy sauce food) and once she even claimed that if she eats colourful stuff (like the mixed vegetable), she will get stomach pain. Haha, so funny one!!
Next is Miss Sotong No.2 aka Miss KTV Queen
Well, you should have guessed who Miss Sotong No. 1 is ba, (yes, it's this blog's owner :P) She may look mature on the outside, however, there's still a childish inner child within her and she's also blur blur one...haha...Don't be deceived by her looks!! Keke...
She loves to sing and always sings to me whenever possible, toilet, breaks etc.. She loves to imitate "la bi xiao xin" too, always entertaining me one. She's also very strong cos she works out in gym so dun offend her unless you want a twist in your arms....
She likes to imitate me!!
Last but not least is Mr Self-declared Yan Dao aka Mr Toa Payoh Lin Jun Jie
He is one who never fails to laugh at me and saying stuff like "zhu tou", "clumsy" etc. I am basically a entertainer to him, haha, think he has not laughed for ages already so he's so easily amused.. Like most typical guys, he likes to act cool and act yan dao, striking poses and praising himself whenever possible, *faint faint*
He claims to sing well and thus, the nickname "tpy JJ", haha...fake one!! Must witness his singing one day to verify. He seems to bicker a lot with Miss Sotong No. 2 aka Miss KTV Queen and me just listen to their suaning..haha....But he's quite helpful la, always volunteer to da pao food for us when it rains by going with supervisor by car to coffee shop or carrying heavy items..haha (too bad, he's the only guy :P)
