Brain teasers

Busy week ahead with quiz and project....so not much time to blog...ha..chinese new year is almost over so ppl hurry and go collect last minute hongbaos! haha...Valentine's day also known as friendship day is coming soon..so here's wishing all of u a happy valentine day! Before ending the post..let u all have fun with brain teasers...to get u relaxed

1) The chicken or the egg, which came first?

2) A man is trapped inside a box that has one hundred locks on it. He gets out with no struggle. How?

3) After her death, a mother left her sons her entire £5000 fortune.The elder son received £3000.The rest was shared equally between whoever remained. How much did each get?

4) There are three houses built exactly the same. One is filled with cotton, the other with wood, and the third with iron. One day an arsonist sets them all on fire. The sound of sirens was growing louder at the scene. People were screaming. Which house did the ambulance try to put the fire out at first?

5) There are ten people in a house. Everybody wants to make a hand shake with only people shorter than himself. Assume everybody is different in height. How many hand shakes are made?

ANS:
1.) The chicken..It came first in the question.

2) The locks on the box are not locked.

3) There is just one other son who takes the remaining £2000.The word elder, means there are two. If there were more than two it would have been eldest.

4) Ambulances do not put out fires.

5) 0, because a taller person wants to shake hands with a shorter person. But the shorter person doesn't want to shake hands with him.
