Run for the medal!

Today was OP's run for this year, which he also promised me to be his last marathon after he suffered from cramps in his legs, shoulders and muscle ache after the full 42km.... haha...

Still remembered that last year, he took about 6 hours and 25 minutes to complete so I thought this year with less training, he would take longer time.. oops.. keke.. but surprisely, he told me he might reach the finishing line at about 11.40 plus... so i hurriedly went to KFC to buy his favourite iced lemon tea, poured it into a thermal flask and rushed down to city hall..

After much effort in crossing the narrow path, I managed to get close one side of the finishing line and waited patiently for OP to call me to tell me he's reaching.. Meanwhile, I just stood there, watching many runners making their way to the finishing line.. sweaty but with a sense of accomplishment on their faces..

The sun was so hot in the afternoon, I was sweating already just standing there, could imagine the pain on these runners as they ran for so long under the hot sun....

The runners: I'm reaching finishing line soon....

Just as the time was reaching 6 hours... OP appeared!!!!!!! He waved excitedly to me as he was approaching the finishing line and I managed to take these shots... hee...

I'm so so tired

He finished under 6 hours.. I took this shot seconds after he crossed the finishing line =)

He looked so tired after the race cos of the hot sun... poor OP!! nevertheless, he finished the race safe and sound, except for some painful cramps and aches.. keke...

The hard-earned medal!!

No more running already k, OP!! hee... and his reason to run for this year makes me smile too:

"When I'm with her, I can do anything =)"
